India Wildlife Tour
Duration: 17 nights / 18 days
Destinations : Delhi, Jaipur, Ranthambhore, Agra, Bandhavgarh, Kanha,
Jabalpur, Delhi
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi :
Arrive Delhi. Meeting/assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest
of the day and overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi :
Morning breakfast followed by combined city tour of old and new Delhi visiting
mughal monuments like the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat- the place where Mahatam
Gandhi was cremated, Humayun Tomb and drive pass to British landmark such as
India Gate, President house and Govt. Secretariat. Also visit 12th century Minaret-
Qutub minar graceful and well sculptured and stands 75 meters, Lotus Temple.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi / Jaipur (265 kms) :
Morning after breakfast at 0900 hrs drive to Jaipur upon arrival transfer to
hotel Jaipur Palace( four star). Rest of the day free. Evening optional visit
to Rajmandir cinema hall famous for its beautifull interiors or "Chokhi
Dhani" - A five star ethenic village resort for dinner on direct payment
basis. Overnight saty at the hotel.
Day 04 : Jaipur
Morning after brekfast and leave for full day city tour to Amber fort and ride
the hill on the back of decoreted elephant and to the Pink city (Jaipur) built
in the 1727 A. D. To visit Hawa Mahal - Palace of winds , City Palace Complex
which houses the rare and rich colection of ornaments, arms, royal costumes,
carpets and decorative art objects of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art
and architecture. , Jantar Mantar- A 18th century observatory and Birla Mandir.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05 : Jaipur / Ranthabhore
Morning breakfast at hotel and drive to "Land of Tiger" Ranthambhore
sanctuary in wooded valley surrounded by barren Aravali and Vindhachal mountains.
Ranthambore park inhabits blue bulls, Sambar, Spotted deer, Wild boar. Upon
arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon Jungle drive to the national park to see
wild animals in natural habitats. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 : Ranthambhore
Morning again another visit to the park where you will have a chance to see
Hynas, Jackals, Jungle cats, Chital, Panthers and possibility of the famous
Indian Tiger if you are lucky. return back to hotel for breakfast. Afternoon
one more jungle drive to the park. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : Ranthambhore
Morning jungle drive to the park to see rich birdlife and wildlife of the park.
Afternoon another drive to the national park. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 : Ranthambhore/Bharatpur
Morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Bharatpur "Paradise for Birdwatcher"
. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 : Bharatpur
Morning full day bird watching in sanctuary with naturalist on ricksaw look
for grey leg geese, barheaded geese, ruddy shelduck, etc. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : Bharatpur/Fatehpur sikri/Agra
Morning after leisure breakfast at hotel and drive to Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur
Sikri - The city of victory beautifully preserved. The sandstone mansions of
Sikri are experiments in art and achitecture and to a great extent uphold Akbar's
ideals and visions. Thereafter continue your drive to Agra. Upon arrival check
in at hotel. Rest of the day at independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 : Agra/Umaria by overnight train
Morning breakfast at hotel and leave for city tour of Agra visiting world famous
Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonder of the world. A pristine monument of undying
love and also visit The rusty red sand stone Agra fort. The first of the great
mughal buildings where three Mughal emperor left there foot prints. Later transfer
to railway station to board train to Umaria the nearest train station to Bandhavgarh
national park. Overnight in the train.
Day 12 : Arrive Umaria/Bandhavgarh
Early morning arrive umaria and transfer to Bandhavgarh 35 kms/01 hrs drive.
Upon arrival check in at hotel. After tea/coffee jungle drive to the park to
the park which supports animals such as Panther, Nilgai, wild boar, jackal,
gaaur, Sambaar and porcupine and many species of birds in addition to tiger.return
back to hotel for breakfast. afternoon another safari ti the park. Ovenight
at lodge Bandhavgarh.
Day 13 : Bandavgarh
Morning and afternoon Jungle drive to park to see wild cats and other wild animals
including Dhok the wild dog. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 : Bandhavgarh
Morning and afternoon again pay visit to the national park hoping to see the
wild cats. Overnight in Bandhavgarh.
Day 15 : Bandhavgarh/Kanha
Morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Kanha national park through picturesque
landscape which rapidly changes reaching there by noon . Upon arrival check
in at lodge. Afternoon Jungle safari by jeep in the Kiplings park to see tigers,
bison , barking deer, four horned antelopes etc. Overnight at hotel.
Day
16 : Kanha
The whole day today will be an adventurous day with two excursions of the park
either on elephant back or in jeeps, one inthe morning or one in the evening.
The Kanha National Park with its lightly wooded and interspersed rivers streams
and canals make up for an excellent landscape. The park is very well organized
and it is almost guaranteed that you will have at least one encounter with the
tiger. Overnight in Kanha lodge.
Day 17 : Kanha/Jabalpur
Morning short jungle safari to the park and after breakfast drive to jabalpur
railway station to board train for Delhi. Overnight in train.
Day 18 : Delhi departure
Morning arrive Delhi. meeting/assistance at railway station and transfer to
hotel for wash and change. later in the evening transfer to airport to board
return flight.
